The Inspiring Journey of Fountain Engineering Specialist
Meet Leslie Fortuin, the proud founder and sole owner of Fountain Engineering Specialist—a water filtration company passionate about providing clean, safe drinking water to communities and industries alike. What began as a humble start has transformed into a vital service that touches countless lives across rural and farming areas.
The Beginning: A Need Born Out of Necessity
Like many entrepreneurs, his journey started out of necessity. He needed to generate income, and saw an opportunity in the urgent need for water purification. Living in a region where access to safe drinking water isn't always guaranteed, he recognised how critical this service could be. What initially was a small-scale operation quickly grew into a dedicated business committed to making a difference.
Growing Roots in Service Delivery
Fountain Engineering Specialist specialises in designing and installing customised water purification systems tailored to the needs of households and industrial clients. Their goal is simple: ensure that everyone—whether at home or on the farm—has access to safe, clean water for drinking and daily use.
Over time, their reputation grew, and so did our client base. They have proudly partnered with esteemed wineries like Boekenhouts Kloof, Stellenrust, and Tokara. They also serve farms such as Myburgh Trust, Hutton Square Group, and Chiltern Group. Their commitment to quality and safety has made them the trusted purification service provider for agricultural groups like Agrigo Grabouw, Agrico Caledon, Botrivier Boermark and Viko Co-op Vyeboom, Villiersdorp and Greyton.
Expanding Our Reach
Recently, they had the honour of servicing Pick & Pay’s head office in Kenilworth—a milestone that underscores our expanding presence. Currently, their service area stretches from Caledon to Wellington and all the way to Kommetjie, ensuring more communities and businesses have access to safe water.
Beyond Business: Educating for a Safer Future
Leslie’s vision extends beyond just installation and maintenance. He is deeply committed to educating the community about the importance of safe drinking water. In the near future, he hope to approach local schools to teach our younger generation about water safety, the importance of clean water, and how to make informed decisions about what they consume.
A Future Rooted in Community and Safety
Fountain Engineering Specialist started as a response to a personal need but has grown into a mission to serve and educate. Their journey is far from over, and Leslie is excited about the future—striving to ensure that safe, clean water is not just a privilege for some but a right for all.
